The High Commission of the Republic of Uganda to Malaysia with concurrent accreditation to the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Indonesia, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Republic of Cambodia, Brunei Darussalam, and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar is based in Kuala Lumpur. The High Commission is charged with the primary duty to promote cordial relations between Uganda and Malaysia with the concurrent accreditation with the countries listed above. The Mission is tasked to protect the national interest of Uganda and Ugandans resident in Malaysia as well as the other countries of accreditations. The Mission provides diplomatic. Protocol and consular services. We mobilise the diaspora for development, promote regional and international peace and security as well as international law and related commitments and obligations.

The High Commission in Kuala Lumpur is supported by Honorary Consuls in the Kingdom of Thailand and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The implementation of Uganda’s foreign policy through the instruments of diplomacy is close to our hearts for the success in this mandate. The President of Uganda His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is championing economic diversification agenda, as well as social and cultural activities.

The High Commission is concretizing the already existing relationship between the two nations and is committed to implementing the mandates through economic and commercial diplomacy by among others attracting investments and tourism to Uganda. Investment opportunities include but not limited to: Agribusiness, Tourism, Mining, Information Communication Technology, Fisheries, Forestry, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, Financial Services, Packaging, and Education.  

Uganda enjoys a unique location along the equator, in the heart of the Sub-Saharan Africa. The British Prime Minister, Sir Winston Churchill, once described Uganda as "THE PEARL OF AFRICA" because it is indeed a country gifted by nature: it is green all year round; its landscape encompasses the snow-capped Rwenzori mountains; It boasts of Lake Victoria - the largest fresh water body in the world. The western escarpments of the Great Rift Valley and it is a home the source of the Nile, the only river that flows north. Uganda also has unique Flora and Fauna, a modified equatorial climate with warm climate with warm temperatures all year round.  Uganda people are very friendly and welcoming.
