MEETING BETWEEN UGANDA EMBASSY AND THAI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO STRENGTHEN INVESTMENT COOPERATION
On September 05, 2024, Minister Counsellor Mr. Kasujja Moses Kalule of the Uganda Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, accompanied by the Honorary Consul of Uganda in Thailand, H.E. Mr. Olan Viravan, and Consular & Protocol Officer Mr. David Tusiime held a productive meeting with the Board of Trade of Thailand at the Thai Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and exploring key sectors for potential investment in Uganda.
Among the sectors highlighted were Agriculture, Education, Mining, Energy, Oil and Gas, ICT, and Manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on the mutual benefits that could be derived from collaboration. The meeting provided a platform to outline strategic opportunities and align both nations' interests in boosting trade and investment ties.
In addition to the investment discussions, the meeting also served as a follow-up on preparations for the upcoming Trade Mission to Uganda, scheduled for November 2024. This mission is poised to deepen economic engagement between Uganda and Thailand further, opening doors for greater participation by Thai investors in Uganda’s growing market.
In close coordination with the Honorary Consul in Thailand, the Uganda Embassy is committed to ensuring that the Trade Mission achieves its objectives and fosters long-term partnerships that will contribute to the sustainable economic growth of both countries.
