MEETING BETWEEN UGANDA EMBASSY AND THAI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE TO STRENGTHEN INVESTMENT COOPERATION

On September 05, 2024, Minister Counsellor Mr. Kasujja Moses Kalule of the Uganda Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, accompanied by the Honorary Consul of Uganda in Thailand, H.E. Mr. Olan Viravan, and Consular & Protocol Officer Mr. David Tusiime held a productive meeting with the Board of Trade of Thailand at the Thai Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and exploring key sectors for potential investment in Uganda.

AMBASSADOR DR. BETTY OYELLA BIGOMBE MEETS WITH DEPUTY MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIETNAM, DO HUNG, ALONGSIDE AFRICAN AMBASSADORS

On 17th September 2024, Her Excellency Dr. Betty Oyella Bigombe, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uganda, presented her Letters of Credentials to His Excellency To Lam, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

On 19th August 2024, Her Excellency Dr. Betty Oyella Bigombe, the High Commissioner of Uganda to Malaysia, along with Minister Counsellor, Mr. Kasujja Moses Kalule and other dedicated team, paid a courtesy visit to the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM) and were welcomed by President Tan Sri Dato’ Soh Thian Lai, along with FMM Vice Presidents - Dato Nathan K. Suppiah; Dato Andrew Goh Boon Kim; Mr. Jacob Lee Chor Kok; Dr. Helena Eian, Chair of the FMM Selangor and KL Branch; and Datuk Dr. Yeoh Oon Tean, FMM CEO.

On June 23, 2024, Her Excellency Dr. Betty Oyella Bigombe, the Ambassador of Uganda to Thailand, formally presented her Letters of Credentials to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua at the Grand Palace in Bangkok. 
This significant ceremonial event marked the official recognition of Dr. Bigombe's diplomatic role, enabling her to undertake her duties to enhance and strengthen the bilateral relations between Uganda and Thailand. 

Her Excellency Betty Bigombe presented her Letters of Credence accrediting her as High Commissioner of the Republic of Uganda to Malaysia to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVI, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta'in Billah on 01st December 2022.

The High Commission of the Republic of Uganda in Malaysia represented by Mr. Kasujja Moses Kalule, Minister Counsellor, and other Mission staff participated in the Africa Business Information Day event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 06th February 2024 at Concorde Hotel Kuala Lumpur, under the theme “This time for Africa”.  The event was jointly organized by the Malaysian Export Academy and the Malaysia Africa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, featuring speakers and representatives from various African countries and Malaysians doing business in Africa.

Her Excellency Ambassador Betty Oyella Bigombe attended  as a Plenary Session Speaker at the International Business Review -Borneo awards  ,hosted by the Premier of Sarawak on 03rd November 2023 in Kuching.

The session was on investment opportunities in Borneo with  focus on the untapped potential and steps that can be taken to unlock  a  spectrum of opportunities for investors to contribute to both economic growth and sustainability.
